We figured you all might want to know a bit more about your favorite thirty-something lifestylepreneurs. Below are 9 questions that we'll pretend someone else asked, along with our answers:
What are your future goals?
LJ: Marriage and children are on my radar right now. I also want to continue being inspired and inspiring others in the process. I want to connect with our readers, write more books, learn something new each month, and the list can just go on forever.
JK: To inspire thirty-somethings and invite you loving strangers into my life through writing. I would love to live in another country for one month out of every year. I also want to meet my forever husband and have kids. Maybe eat at Red Lobster at least once, since I hear it's weird that I've never been. Lastly, in 10 years, I want to retire from my day job and give more time to worthy causes.
Who are your favorite bloggers/YouTubers?
JK: I love YouTubers, Tati Westbrook and Symphani Soto. Tati is chill, funny and in her early 30's. Symphani is such a regular person that has an entertaining way of doing great makeup. Plus, I love her accent.
LJ: My favorite blogs are MindBodyGreen, Daily Cup of Yoga, Elephant Journal, Valerie Maltoni of Conversation Agent, Marie Forleo of Marie Forleo.com, Jenny Lawson of The Bloggess, and the list goes on… I’m not a big YouTuber but I would love to get some recommendations.
What is the one makeup/skincare item you cannot live without?
LJ: SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser and anything Dior… how can we just pick one?!?
JK: Smashbox CC Cream. I can't justify wearing a full coverage foundation for daily activities. This quickly covers up my large pores and dark circles, allowing me to move on with my life.
Who is your favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette/Housewife/etc.?
JK: Right now, its Bethany from the Real Housewives of NY. She's a sensitive ball of steel if that makes any sense. I can totally relate...
LJ: My favorites are both tied … Sean Lowe and Catherine & Desiree Hartsock and Chris. I re-watch their seasons!
What clothing site do you love the most and actually buy things from?
LJ: I’m an Amazon one stop shop gal!
JK: I have two. Nordstrom and Gilt.com. It's like they know my soul.
Name one of your favorite books/movies:
JK: Ask and it is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks and You are a Badass by Jen Sincero. I know, that's two...
LJ: Favorite Book is Love Story by Eric Segal. It’s a classic.
Who inspires you now that you're a thirty-something?
LJ: My mom inspires me most in my thirties. She is a strong and successful influence in my life. Oprah is always inspiring me as well!
JK: I would have to say Gabby Bernstein. She is perfectly imperfect and has helped me find my inner light. Also, Canna Campbell of SugarMama.TV. She saves money like crazy and loves designer bags.
What's your favorite quote to live by?
JK: You can never get it wrong and you never get it done. - Abraham (Esther) Hicks
LJ: You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf. - Jon Kabat- Zinn
